Affiliate Disclosure
Commercial links must be transparent and must never override an official free route or a materially better option.
Commercial independence
HOWSTOP may earn a commission when a visitor follows certain travel-service links and completes a qualifying purchase with a third party. Where required, affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly.
Official and free routes come first
Commission does not change the official facts. If a government service is officially free, the platform should say that it is free and show the legitimate official route even when a paid intermediary offers an affiliate commission.
Comparison principles
Where feasible, comparisons should include relevant non-affiliate or direct-provider options. A hotel-direct promotion or other materially better option should be allowed to win even when it does not pay the platform.
Prices and availability
Third-party prices, inventory and terms can change. The provider’s checkout page is the final source for the transaction price, taxes, fees, cancellation conditions and availability.
